Diploma Policy for Master of International Public Policy (International Public Policy Program)

In order to accomplish the objectives stipulated in the IUJ Graduate School Regulations, as well as the mission of GSIR, the International Public Policy Program (IPPP) defines the degree requirements and learning objectives which are necessary to Master of International Public Policy as follows:

Degree Requirements

  • Enrollment Requirements
    Students are required to enroll for a minimum of one year on a degree candidate basis.
  • Course/Credit Requirements
    Students are required to enroll for a minimum of one year on a degree candidate basis.
  • Research Report Requirements
    Students are required to complete and submit an acceptable MA Thesis or Research Report under the guidance of supervisors.
  • Final Examination Requirements
    Students are required to complete and submit an acceptable Research Report under the guidance of supervisors.
  • GPA Requirement
    Students are required to obtain a total GPA of at least 2.5 out of 4.0.

Learning Objectives

The students in the degree program of Master of International Public Policy are required to:

 

Knowledge

  • Acquire the basic knowledge on foreign and security policy or public policy;
  • Understand the international political and economic order and systems;
  • Identify various policy instruments to help resolve international conflicts and domestic issues; and
  • Understand important concepts related to human rights and global justice in the conduct of interstate relations and domestic policy-making

Skills

  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge in international relations or public policy;
  • Demonstrate ability to understand the dynamics of international relations and domestic public policy;
  • Demonstrate scholarly and critical analysis of international issues and public policy making; and
  • Demonstrate capability to interact and engage in policy debate on international public affairs

  • Apply multidisciplinary approach in policy analysis and evaluation;
  • Contribute to peace, stability and development of the international community; and
  • Develop intellectually stimulating and innovative ideas in public policy-making
