“The 5th CHO Forum” was held

On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, the “The 5th CHO (Chief Human Resource Officer) Forum” was held at the IUJ campus. The event received 40 human resource managers from 34 top-tier corporations as respected guests. This Forum aimed to promote the globalization of human resources, as well as to exchange views, ideas and concerns among company guests from different industries.
The Forum opened with welcoming remarks by President Kimio Kase. He emphasized that “IUJ was listed again as one of the world’s top 100 business schools in the Economist’s 2015 ranking. IUJ is the only school from Japan to be included and ranked 6th among all schools in Asia”. After his remarks, Chairman Shoei Utsuda gave a presentation entitled “Strategic Development of Global Leaders” Then, Prof. Shinichi Hirose of GSIM made a presentation regarding “Global Talent Management”.

After that, Mr. Sato of Kirin Holdings Company and Mr. Arisawa of KAGOME, made a presentation about their practices with respect to “Development of Global Leaders”. The participants had a discussion based on their own current efforts to develop global leaders in order to learn about each others practices and to exchange ideas and thoughts.

A reception was held after the Forum. The participants met and had friendly conversations with IUJ students over drinks and a buffet dinner. All of us at IUJ would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the guests who participated in the 5th “CHO Forum”

IUJ Ranks 90th in the Economist’s “Global Top 100 Business Schools”

IUJ Ranks 90th in The Economist’s “Global Top 100 Business Schools”

The Economist recently published its 2015 MBA rankings, and the Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) at the International University of Japan (IUJ) is listed as one of the world’s top 100 business schools. IUJ’s overall rank is 90th. The GSIM at IUJ is the ONLY school from Japan to again be included in this ranking. We also ranked 6th among all schools in Asia.

In addition to being 90th in the world overall, IUJ achieved positive results from the following key ranking categories:

IUJ also extends congratulations to our Exchange Partner Schools that also placed in the World’s top 100 MBA ranking; including Darden (2nd) and Tuck (3rd) from the U.S., IESE (14th), Warwick (18th), ESADE (21st), Bocconi (50th) and EMLYON (75th) from Europe, Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (60th) and NUS (87th) from Asia. IUJ is proud to have these programs and over 10 more in our educational network which allows IUJ students to study in these institutions and brings their students to the IUJ campus for a term.
