Info. Session in Tokyo for Prospective Applicants
Event: Info. Session for Prospective Applicants (at IUJ Tokyo Office, Japan)

Location: IUJ Tokyo Office
IUJ was established in 1982 as the first graduate school
in Japan which all courses are taught in English (except Japanese language courses).
About 3,600 alumni from about 115 countries work or
continue to study Ph.D. course, etc. around the world.
On IUJ campus, about 330 students from more than 40
countries study and enjoy campus life together.
If you are interested in applying for 2015 academic
year or in the near future, please attend this session.
It will be nice chance to know more about IUJ and meet
some alumni (or current students) in Tokyo.

the GSIM & GSIR, and Admissions & Scholarship Info.

IUJ’s MBA program is proud to rank in 12th in the World MBA Summit 2014 rankings.
With about 2,500 applying, 17 IUJers made the interview list, and Jorge Acosta of Venezuela made the final cut of 60 participants in the Hong Kong-based summit.

Graduation Ceremony for IMBA and E-Business Management Program Held
On Thursday, August 28, IUJ’s E-business Management Program, had its 12th graduation ceremony, with the One-Year MBA Program celebrating its 1st. There were 18 new graduates from 8 countries; India, Indonesia, Japan, Lithuania, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.
This year our first student from Lithuania graduated, bringing IUJ’s total to 3612 alumni from 116 countries.
President Kitaoka congratulated the graduating students on becoming members of the IUJ Alumni association network. He said that he believes that IUJ will continue to cooperate its alumni all over the world.
The special guest, Mr. Masaru Onishi, Director and Chairman of Japan Airlines Co,. Ltd delivered the congratulatory address as follows,
“What is important is for you and your “teammates” to understand is the ultimate goal of your tasks. As you grow and get ready to become a leader in the field or for the organization, I want you to remember that your ability to see the ultimate good of the field or organization is one ability that will make you a great leader.”
“Please always remember to stay humane and generous, but also remember to see past what is in front of you to understand the long term picture, and you will be successful. ”
“What is important is for you and your “teammates” to understand is the ultimate goal of your tasks. Dean Kase reported on the Business school’s achievements this year, then each graduate, in a cap and gown, went up on stage to receive a diploma from the President.
The E-biz valedictorian Ryo Shimura emphasized that;
“I would like to talk about two important, simple things I noticed here.
The first thing is that, in order to make foreign friends, courage was more important than language.
The second thing is the importance of discussing patiently with people who disagree.
One important thing I learned here is that if there is no definite goal, IT technology becomes useless.”
“It is always quite difficult to measure my growth by myself. But now I have a strong belief that I have changed a lot compared with 1 year ago. Probably, you all must be the same as me. This is never the end. This is just the beginning for us. So, please be friends forever.”
The IMBA valedictorian, Hajime Numata, quoted Charles Darwin:
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”
And he said “The world became a fast-changing environment and the future is very difficult to estimate. Life is difficult. Life is unpredictable. But life is full of excitement. We need to be open-minded and flexible to changes in the environment. At the same time, we have to have the determination to change the situation to make the world a better place. Darwin’s wisdom has become the most important aspect in having a successful life in today’s world. I believe, through the education here at IUJ, we are ready to face the world’s difficult challenges. As the very first batch of IUJ Intensive MBA program graduates, it is time to show what we are capable of and how valuable the program was.”
