Policies for MBA Specialization
- Students who enroll in 2-year MBA or JGDP programs can obtain a specialization from the following five areas: 1) Finance; 2) Management; 3) Marketing; 4) Digital Technology and Operations, and 5) Sustainability. Students can obtain more than one specialization area if they wish.
- A student, who prefer not to have a specialization area, does not have to declare an area of specialization. Students are required to complete all the required courses, but beyond that, they are free to choose any elective courses according to their interests.
- To obtain a specialization, students must have twelve (12) credits from the courses designated for a given area by the end of spring term in their second year.
- The area of specialization obtained will be specified on the student’s transcript upon notification by the student to the OAA. The application procedures are as follows:
Student are responsible for checking whether they have obtained the required number of credits (12) in the selected area, and must apply by themselves. The application is open at the beginning of the last term, and the submission deadline is set at the end of May in the student’s second year. The OAA will then confirm if they have earned enough credits for the selected area and will ensure that this information is reflected on their transcript.
