International Festival (Open Day) 2019 Coming soon! Saturday, April 27th

IUJ invites you to its annual school festival “International Festival.” Enjoy international dishes prepared by IUJ students. Feast your eyes on a 3-hour stage show displaying some of the 60 cultures on our campus, including Japan. This year again, as a special feature, 6 IUJ teams will take on the “Onigiri World Championship.” They will create an original onigiri “riceball” dish to combine Japan’s traditional food made with the wonderful Koshihikari rice of our area with the flavors or their country! Public Announcement regarding N. Korea missile tests 8/29/2017

Dear IUJ Extended Community, As has been reported in the news, North Korea tested a missile the projectile of which went over Japan between Hokkaido and Honshu, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean about 1180K from Japan mainland. No damage or debris of any kind affected Japan. Transportation systems, daily life are going on as normal. IUJ is fine. Our summer program continues with no interruption of any kind. We will stay up on the news as it is released, but now we see no need for extra concern. For the most updated and reliable news in English, please refer to NHK at https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/

IUJ 35th Anniversary Logo Selected

It is with great pleasure to debut the logo for IUJ’s 35th Anniversary celebration. The IUJ 35th Anniversary Logo Selection Committee met to select one design from the 12 submitted entries, which was deliberated on, and approved at the Operating Committee Meeting on February 24, 2017. We would like to congratulate the “Team of well-wishing IUJ staff.” The selected logo will be used on various IUJ items such as commemorative T-shirt, mugs, posters, homepage, etc. Thanks to everyone who submitted their ideas, and to the Selection Committee. Happy 35th Anniversary to IUJ!

World Bank Scholarship Program Accepting Applications

The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is now accepting applications until February 23, 2017 from women and men from developing countries with relevant professional experiences. IUJ is one of the schools in their “Preferred Programs” list, and those Master’s applicants in the IDP, IRP, and PMPP are eligible to apply. If you are interested, please review their Homepage and submit your applications directly to the World Bank by February 23, 2017.

IUJ is inviting applications for the “35th anniversary logo” designs. IUJ was started in 1982 and will be 35 years old in 2017. In commemorating this landmark, IUJ wants to have a unique logo boasting its global society and promoting its further growth, designed by member(s) of the IUJ community. The selected design will be used on various IUJ items such as business cards, posters, Homepage, etc. We look forward to receiving a lot of applications.   Logo Image Logo should be based on the IUJ’s Mission Statement* and the design should reflect the school image of contributing to the global society and of further growth.
