Q. Why was I still charged the dorm fee for a whole month even though I checked out of the dormitory.

A. This is a technical issue set in our system. If you check out after the 11th of the month, the entire month’s rent is charged.

Then, the next month, you will be reimbursed the daily dormitory fee prorated for the number of days from the day after you check out to the end of the month.

Q. Why do I still have to pay the electricity and hot water charges even after I checked out of the dormitory?

A. This is because you are charged these fees based on your actual usage in the previous month while you were living in the dorm.

Q. The hot water charge is higher than I expected. I would like to know what is going with my hot water expense.

A. When you see a rapid increase in your hot water expense, it is recommended to confirm the issue with the Energy Center. They can check for leaks of water pipes or any troubles with the hot water supply system.

If you feel that the hot water is still tepid even when the faucet is at its maximum, please inform the Energy Center as soon as possible

Q. Is it possible for me to have a receipt for my electricity charge as a document for applying for a mobile phone or opening a bank account?

A. Of course, this is possible.  Please notify us of which month’s receipt you need.

Q. What is the late fee specifically?

A. 1,000 yen will be added as a late fee for the previous month’s expenses, regardless of the original invoice amount, when you fail to make a payment until the day before the next month’s due date.

Q. I see that my bill shows a refund of my dorm fee, how and when will it be refunded?

A. When the refund amount exceeds the total of your other expenses, the refund will be deposited to your bank account on the day after the normal deduction day.
When the refund amount is less than the total of your other expenses, it will be deducted from that total.
The total amount shown on the invoice is the amount after this offsetting.

Q. Is there any choice other than cash payment for tuition fees or Monthly expenses ?

A. It is a one-time charge but you will be charged each time you move into the dorm, even when you move into the dorm after moving out once.

Q. Why is the electricity charge so expensive, even I do not use that much?
