International University of Japan(IUJ) Showcases FALIA Essay Competition Success Stories

Niigata, Japan – June 16, 2025 – The International University of Japan (IUJ), through a collaboration between the IUJ Research Institute and student leadership councils, hosted a special academic symposium on June 16, 2025 to showcase student research excellence in conjunction with the annual FALIA Essay Competition. The event brought together students, faculty, and industry experts for thought-provoking discussions on global insurance and sustainability topics. On Wednesday, June 18, Mr. Syed Nasir ERSHAD, Economic Minister of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Japan, visited the International University of Japan (IUJ) to meet with Bangladeshi JDS students and faculty members. During his visit, he had a discussion with Prof. Kato, Dean of the Graduate School of International Relations, and Prof. Cooray. The International University of Japan (IUJ) is pleased to announce that Mr. Fumiya Kokubu, Director, Member of the Board, Executive Corporate Advisor of Marubeni Corporation, has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the Board meeting held on June 17, 2025. IUJ International Festival 2025 was held on May 24th

On May 24, the International Festival 2025 was held, co-hosted by International University and the City of Minamiuonuma. Approximately 1,800 visitors, including local residents, attended the event held at International University’s gymnasium and outdoor plaza.   As an opportunity for visitors to observe an actual Graduate School class, an open lecture was held, attracting many attendees including Open Campus participants and members of the general public.
