Winter Holidays Period

IUJ Administration Offices will be closed during the following winter holiday period. Tuesday 26  December 2023 – Thursday 4 January 2024 Staff members are not available during the period to respond to any phone calls and e-mails. We will start regular office hours on Friday 5 January 2024. Your understanding and cooperation would be highly appreciated.

International University of Japan received a donation of 3,000 masks from Vietnam alumni in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam as a representative, who is a Vietnam IUJ Alumni Network-Hanoi Chapter, IRP class of 2008 arranged donations of masks by Vietnam alumni to help preventive measures against COVID-19. We would like to express our deep appreciation for their support. IUJ will donate 600 masks of 3000 masks to Minami Uonuma city. The masks will be used effectively to prevent infectious diseases among students from all over the world studying on the campus. At this time, there are no cases of the COVID-19 at IUJ.

International University of Japan received a donation of 1,000 masks from Chinese alumni in China, Japan, Singapore, Laos, Chile etc,also former professor Xing, in coordination with Mr. Yang Yaoyu, MBA class of 1996 and Vice President of the Alumni Association Exec Committee to help preventive measures against COVID-19. We would like to express our deep appreciation for their support. A donation of 1,000 masks also went to Minami Uonuma city as well. The masks will be used effectively to prevent infectious diseases among students from all over the world studying on the campus. At this time, there are no cases of the COVID-19 at IUJ.

International University of Japan received a donation of masks from YAMADA kogyo Co., located in Minamiuonuma City to help stop any potential spread of the Novel Coronavirus-infected Pneumonia. We would like to express our deep appreciation for their support. Eight donated boxes of 30 masks will be used effectively to prevent infectious diseases among students from all over the world studying on the campus. At this time, there are no cases of seasonal flu or the COVID-19 at IUJ.

Cancellation of the 2020 International Festival

April 14, 2020 Cancellation of the 2020 International Festival We are sorry to inform you that the International University of Japan (IUJ) has decided to cancel the International Festival 2020 as a precaution in the current COVID-19 situation. The International Festival, held jointly with Minami-Uonuma City in May every year, features performances and international cuisine proudly presented by IUJ students from over 50 countries. Professor Emeritus Ippei Yamazawa, former IUJ President, passed away

Professor Emeritus Ippei Yamazawa, former IUJ President, passed away on November 16, 2018 at the age of 81. The funeral ceremony was held on November 20 only by his family and relatives. Late Professor Yamazawa served for various positions such as Full-Professor at Hitotsubashi University and Waseda University and Director of Institute of Developing Economies. He assumed the position of IUJ President for 3 years and 3 months, during September 2003 and December 2006.
