Job Hunting in Japan is very unique. To understand Japanese job hunting culture, this guidebook authored by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) will help you.

IUJ Career Support organizes several seminars to support job hunting in Japan.

All seminars are conducted on campus, the upcoming events will be shared by emails and the bulletin board.

Besides, some companies conduct information sessions mostly from October to March for job hunters, and from April to May for internship hunters.

IUJ students can participate in the internship program between early July and late September.

Students may work 8 hours a day during the summer school holidays if you have a work permit.

Please note that some students are not permitted to get paid due to the rules of their scholarship.

Host companies of Internship 2020-2024

After graduation, all students are not allowed to stay in Japan with a student residence status even if the expiration date remains.

Please confirm the procedures in case of you continue to stay in Japan as a regular worker or job hunter.

Holding a business card is not a must during job hunting, but some job hunters prefer to have it to leave your personal information and contact when they talk with the recruiters.

The IUJ school shop helps to order a card with IUJ original format.

How to order:

1. Download the application form for each school and fill out the format correctly by PC, NOT by hand.

Application form for IR students: English / Japanese
Application form for IM students: English / Japanese
*Details are written in the format. Please check them carefully.

2. Print the application form after writing your information by PC and bring it to the IUJ school shop.

3. The image will arrive 3 business days later after you submit the data. Please visit the school shop and check the image.

4. After your proofreading, your business cards will be printed and delivered 3 business days later. Please visit the school shop again and pay 3,200 yen.
