Special Seminar on ESG Social Responsibility and Tapping into the Sustainable Finance Capital Markets: How Governments and Private Sectors Can Work Together was held hybrid

On January 23rd, a special seminar on ESG Social Responsibility and Tapping into the Sustainable Finance Capital Markets: How Governments and Private Sectors Can Work Together was held hybrid, and experts from Mizuho Securities and JICA gave a special presentation to IUJ students.

Mr. Osamu Morishita, Head of the Sustainability Promotion Department, Mizuho Securities, an ESG specialist, gave an overview of the ESG market and how private financing can be tapped to fund social projects.

Ms. Junko Takahashi, Senior Director of Treasury, Finance and Accounting Department, JICA, shared how the organization decides on which social and green projects to fund and how they work with the private sector to obtain sustainable funding for their projects.

The hall was full of student participants from the Graduate School of International Relations and the Graduate School of International Management. We thank the guests for the very informative presentation.
