International University of Japan names new president

IUJ held its Graduation Ceremony 2017

IUJ held its 2017 Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, June 24 at Koidego Cultural Hall in Uonuma City.  This year 97 students graduated from the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) and 67 students graduated from the Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) for a total of 164 students representing 41 countries and regions who earned master’s degrees.  The total number of our alumni network is now 4,173 in 122 countries and regions. The Open Campus will be held on August 1

Event: Open Campus for prospective applicants Date: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 Time: AM 11:00  –  PM 4:00 Location: IUJ Campus (777 Kokusai-cho, Minami Uonuma-shi, Niigata prefecture) MAP IUJ will hold the Open Campus on August 1 (Tue). The main purpose of this Open Campus is observing Intensive English Program (IEP) Classes. IEP provides intermediate- to advanced-level English training for people who need practical English skills.  For the last several years, the IEP has also included groups of students on IMF scholarships who study here for the summer and then enroll at other universities in Japan and Summer-Only Professionals who will return to their respective workplaces after the summer. 8th Minamiuonuma Gourmet Marathon Race

The 8th Minami Uonuma Gourmet Marathon race was held on June 11 (Sun). IUJ was the 7th Aid station of the half marathon race, students supported the water supply and many members of the IUJ community came out to cheer the runners who included IUJ’s some faculties, students and staffs. Union Minister for Border Affairs meets Myanmar students

At the invitation of the Nippon Foundation, a Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen.  Ye Aung paid a visit to Japan to study technical and agricultural colleges and research and training centers as well as to discuss further cooperation between the Nippon Foundation and the Ministry of Border Affairs.  During the tour, the minister visited IUJ campus and met Myanmar students.  The minister was accompanied by Mr. Hideo Watanabe, Chairman of Japan-Myanmar Association, H.E.
