Chinese Consul General in Niigata Visited International University of Japan (IUJ)

On June 24, 2025, representatives from the Chinese Consulate General visited our university.

On the day of the visit, the IUJ president Kikkawa provided an overview of the university, highlighting its unique features as a residential graduate school, the diversity of its student body in terms of numbers and regions of origin, its international learning environment, and its track record of collaboration with Chinese universities. In response, the Consul General shared information about the status of university visits within Niigata Prefecture and the Tohoku region, including the current enrollment of Chinese international students and examples of collaboration with Chinese universities. Additionally, the Consul General expressed his hope for further active exchange with Chinese universities.

A special lecture titled “Jointly Building A Shared Future Toward Tomorrow” was also conducted by Consul General, Mr. Cui Weilei, providing participants with a valuable opportunity to gain an international perspective.

IUJ will continue to value international exchange and explore opportunities to deepen diverse cultural and educational connections.
