Compliance and Whistleblowing
In alignment with the Whistleblower Protection Act (Act No. 122 of 2004) and relevant legal standards, the International University of Japan (IUJ) maintains a robust compliance framework governed by the ' International University of Japan Compliance Regulations' (amended April 2025). IUJ provides dedicated hotlines available for reporting and consultations regarding compliance matters.
Definition of Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing refers to a report or consultation made by an Officer or a Staff (including teaching staff) member regarding a Compliance Violation. Such reports must be made in good faith—not for the purpose of personal gain, causing harm to others, or any other improper motive.
Scope of Compliance Matters
A reportable matter includes any act (or suspected act) by an officer or staff member in the course of their university duties that violates laws, regulations, internal rules, or the ethical codes of conduct expected of the IUJ.
