On May 22, 2026, the International University of Japan (IUJ) held an opening ceremony for its newly renovated café lounge, CNP (Cross-Cultural Networking Place). Faculty, staff, and student representatives gathered to celebrate the completion of the university’s new community and networking space.

The ceremony, hosted by the Representative Executive Trustee, began with opening remarks by the Chairperson. Distinguished donors were then introduced, including H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation of the Kingdom of Cambodia (Graduate School of International Relations Class of 2002), and H.E. Keo Rottanak, Minister of Mines and Energy of the Kingdom of Cambodia (Graduate School of International Relations Class of 1999). This was followed by congratulatory remarks from the President and student representatives from the Graduate Student Organization Executive Committee, reaffirming the strong ties within the IUJ community.

The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a reception where participants deepened exchange and celebrated the opening of the renewed CNP together.

The renovated CNP is expected to serve as a vibrant community space that fosters interaction and collaboration among students, faculty, staff, and alumni, creating diverse connections both within and beyond the university.
