Greg Marie Mariño, who graduated from the Graduate School of International Relations (IR) at the International University of Japan (IUJ) in 2004, has been appointed Consul General of the Philippines in Sydney, assuming the post on May 23, 2026.
After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University in 1999, Mariño obtained a Master of Arts in International Relations from IUJ in 2004. With more than two decades of diplomatic experience, Mariño now leads the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, serving the Filipino community in New South Wales, Australia.
In an interview with the Philippine community media outlet The Philippine Times, Mariño shared her commitment to providing efficient, accessible, and responsive consular services for Filipinos across New South Wales. The interview also highlighted her vision of strengthening partnerships with local communities and promoting collaboration in areas such as education, research, business, innovation, and cultural exchange.
