Academic Programs

IUJ consists of two schools: the Graduate School of International Relations, and the Graduate School of International Management. The curriculum in both schools is taught entirely in English.

Language Programs
For non-native speakers, a full range of English language courses is available. Many students also take advantage of our extensive Japanese Language Program. Both programs help to enhance the campus' lively bilingual environment.

Graduate School of International Relations
The GSIR program is intended to provide students with an understanding of a rapidly transforming international environment and the impact upon the Asia Pacific region above all.

Graduate School of International Management
The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) at IUJ offers a unique two-year MBA program. The program is conducted entirely in English and is the only one of its kind accredited by the Japanese Ministry of Education.

E-Business Management Program
In the midst of the explosive growth of the Internet, the accelerated development of IT leaders who can cope with novel business models and IT innovations is the most urgent and important challenge for many corporations. In order to help them meet this challenge, the GSIM will offer a new one-year E-Business Management Program starting from the fall of 2001.

Japanese Language Program
The Japanese Language Program is an optional series of courses offered during the school year to students who have already been admitted to a graduate program at IUJ. The program is designed to further develop the Japanese language skills of these students.

Summer Intensive Programs
The Summer Intensive Programs is offered during summer to students who have already been admitted to a graduate program at IUJ, and for whom English is a second or foreign language. The program is designed to further develop the English language skills of these students before they begin their graduate studies in September.
