Admissions and Student Recruitment


We are pleased to learn of your interest in the International University of Japan. Founded as part of an effort to internationalize post-graduate professional education in Japan, IUJ welcomes qualified students with diverse backgrounds from all over the world. Scholarships are available for qualified students, and we encourage you to apply as part of your degree application process.


The Graduate School of International Relations (“International Relations Program”, “International Development Program” and “Public Management and Policy Analysis Program”) has decided to provide one more opportunity for residents of countries other than Japan to join IUJ.

The schedule is:
Application Deadline: May 7, 2012
Announcement of Results: May 31, 2012

There is no change in the application documents. However, please note that only those who have a TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC score* taken on or after May 7, 2010 or will take the tests by March 31, 2012 will meet the above application deadline.

The Graduate School of International Management (MBA and E-Business Management Programs) has decided to provide one one more opportunity for residents of countries other than Japan to join IUJ.

The schedule is:
Application Deadline: May 15, 2012
Announcement of Results: June 7, 2012

There is no change in the application documents. However, please note that only those who have TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC score which took on or after Sept. 1, 2010 and GMAT score (only for MBA applicants) which took on or after Sept. 1, 2007 or will take the tests by following dates will meet the above application deadline.

TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC: April 20, 2012
GMAT: May 5, 2012

You can see the information regarding the 2012 application procedures for Two-year Master's Degree programs of the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR): MAs in International Relations, Peace Studies, International Development, Economics, and Public Management.

MBA and Master of E-Business Management, the GSIM
You can see information regarding the 2012 application procedures for MBA (Two-year program) and Master of E-Business Management (One-year program) of the Graduate School of International Management (GSIM).
