ll courses are taught in English except for Japanese classes for international students. From day one, we have offered all courses in English, the preeminent international language, because our mission is to nurture capable internationally minded people. English is IUJ’s ofcial language and all information for students is in English. IUJ offers a total of seven programs at GSIR and GSIM. Students can complete any of these programs by taking courses taught in English.The International University of Japan has earned a high reputation internationally for the education it offers, its research capabilities, the quality of collaboration with the private sector, and the experience that awaits international students at IUJ. IUJ formed a partnership with Meiji University in April 2013. Both universities have been selected for the Top Global University Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and are enhancing their education and research capabilities by sharing educational resources and collaborating.IUJ's World-class StrengthsSIM’s MBA program is 96th in the world and 7th in Asia in the 2014 business school ranking of The Economist, a prestigious international magazine headquartered in London. IUJ is ranked 67th in the world and the 2nd in Asia by CNN Expansion, a Spanish-language online business news portal serving Mexico and Latin America. Many of IUJ’s partner universities are also ranked in these surveys. The partnerships involve exchanges of students and faculty. The success of these partnerships reflects the world-class education available at IUJ and our commitment to embracing diversity and cultivating fruitful relationships with individuals and institutions worldwide.SIR and GSIM offer a total of 199 courses with an average of 13.1 students per course. IUJ has 44 tenured faculty members for 330 students, giving a student/teacher ratio of 7.5. These statistics highlight IUJ’s commitment to high-quality, small-class education. Whereas a course consisting of 15 classes is the norm at Japanese universities, IUJ’s courses consist of 20 classes to enhance the quality of education.GUJ has signed Memorandums of Agreement on the Global Partnership Program with 55 companies. Our aim is to partner leading companies that are reaching out to the world. We are doing this by fostering people with the potential to fulll leadership roles on the global stage and through joint research and projects involving industry-academia collaboration. IUJ also has partnerships with governments and international organizations. We are having a positive impact on the world by preparing the next generation of global leaders.IA100%stablished in 1881, Meiji University is one of the most renowned universities in Japan, with 32,000 students and over 520,000 alumni. IUJ and Meiji University concluded a partnership agreement in April 2013 with the aim of becoming outstanding educational institutions with high proles globally. Through the winning combination of IUJ’s expertise in developing global leaders and Meiji University’s educational resources, we intend to further enhance IUJ’s strengths and accomplish our founding objectives.EUJ welcomed 13 African students, more than any other university in Japan, from the first batch of 159 participants who came to Japan in September 2014 under the African Business Education Initiative for Youth (ABE Initiative) implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). IUJ is one of four Japanese universities designated by the IMF as partners, along with the University of Tokyo, Hitotsubashi University, and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies.
