Our community, comprising about 330 students at the Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) and the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) as well as faculty and staff, is diverse, multinational, multicultural, and multiethnic. The career paths represented within our student body are also diverse. Classes emphasize practical educational methods, such as case discussions, debates, presentations, and projects. They involve both individual and group work. Moreover, the importance accorded to active participation and simulations helps ensure students acquire skills and knowledge useful for real-world decision-making. GSIM students can take GSIR courses, which give them opportunities to explore global issues such as environmental topics, poverty, and other forms of inequality, and familiarize themselves with techniques and approaches for identifying solutions. Such knowledge will help them in their subsequent careers in the private sector when working in collaboration with government and civic organizations, and moreover, contribute to the emergence of a sustainable society. The high quality of IUJ’s educational and research environment is widely recognized, as reflected in IUJ’s MBA Program being the only such program in Japan to be included in The Economist’s “Global Top 100 Business Schools”.Kimio KaseProfessor, Graduate School of International ManagementDean's MessageIMBA Program(One-year program)●Master of Business AdministrationThis intensive one-year MBA program is designed for people who have, in principle, at least five years of work experience and specialized knowledge.
