Q. What is “Course Reserve”?

A. Course Reserve Materials are books and articles which are required reading for courses.
It is necessary to place a time restrictions on the loan periods to ensure all students in the course have access to reserve materials.
They are designated by instructor's course syllabus and placed inside of the circulation counter. Their status is indicated as "Material Type: Course Reserve" and "Location: Counter Course Reserve" on holdings information of Books (LVZ OPAC).

Q. What is “Course ID”?

A. All Courses have an individual Course ID. You can check this Course ID from “GSIR Electronic Bulletin Board” or “GSIM Student Information Web Page” thorough Academic information of “@IUJ”.
Also current Course ID is provided on [IR Meterials][IM Meterials] from [Course Reserves] of the Library top page or [GSIR Courses][GSIM Courses] at the header part of each Books (LVZ OPAC) search page.

Q. How to search Course Reserve Materials by “Course ID”?

A. You can check all information on required books and articles for the courses by simply clicking [IR Meterials][IM Meterials] from [Course Reserves] of the Library top page or [GSIR Courses][GSIM Courses] at the header part of each Books (LVZ OPAC) search page.
You can also get the all Bibliography and MLIC holdings information by use a Course ID as one of the Keywords for every search options of Books (LVZ OPAC) by using “copy(Ctrl+C)” and “paste(Ctrl+V)” functions and only click on “search”. Books (LVZ OPAC) provides those materials' Material ID, Material type, Location and Availability in this library.

Q. How many and how long can I borrow this Course Reserve Materials?

A. You may check out up to 5 items and keep the materials for up to 3 hours at a time.

Q. Can I make reservation on Course Reserve Materials?

A. Reservation for Course Reserves Materials through Books (LVZ OPAC) is not available. If you want to reserve for checked out materials please ask counter attendants to reserve as manual basis.

Q. Can I extend the loan periods of borrowed Course Reserve Materials?

A. Generally No. You can keep the item for up to 3 hours at a time. But only you can renew the item if another user has not reserved at counter.
Please make sure that you return the item within three hours. The overdue fines are calculated by computer, and library attendants cannot make any changes if the item is returned late.

Q. Can I keep the Course Reserve Materials for over night?

A. Yes. Course Reserve Materials may be checked out 3 hours prior to closing; you can keep materials overnight and due back to the Circulation Counter the next day by 9:30 a.m.(Weekday), 12:30 p.m.(Weekend & holidays).
Only in this case you can use Book Post for returning of Course Reserve Materials.
