IUJ Selected as One of 37 Top Global Universities in Japan

We are pleased to announce that IUJ’s application was selected for the “Top Global University Project” (Category B) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).

The Top Global University Project is aimed at strengthening Japan’s commitment to internationalize its universities and train more global leaders through higher education. The
goals of the project are to:

・achieve structural changes to create truly global universities accessible to the world
・stimulate cooperation with the world’s top universities
・foster innovative approaches for global competitiveness.

There are two categories of universities in this project:

Category A: Top Category (universities that are listed in the world’s top 100 ranking)

Category B: Leading Global Category (universities that are driving Japan’s internationalization)

104 universities applied for both categories. MEXT selected
13 universities for Category A and 24 universities for Category B. IUJ is one the universities selected for Category B.
