Internship Listings
Here are a few pages. You can also
use search engines to find internships in your field, region, or
a specific company as they are often listed in the employment
sections of such. Please make use of the information on campus as well!
- Jintern puts you in immediate touch with
companies looking for interns. Job descriptions, dates,
application procedures are all here.
- American Chamber of Commerce in
Japan offers a
resume service for job and internship hunters. They have a new
Job database to which you can
subscribe for free and get company notices of openings via email.
- KOPRA - a German business
association
provides a page for Internships in Japan with German
companies. A lot of the information is in German but
scroll down for the English. There is an updated and
complete contact information for each current listing.

Access Navigator
has a list of Japanese companies currently seeking internships. All
information is in Japanese, and the list is divided into industry sectors.
- A companion page to Access is provided by
JMAM Internships.
They have an English guide to their website, but the details and
positions are in Japanese. You can enter your information for
companies seeking an intern to find you, and approach the various companies
hoping to find an intern. You can do that in English.

Yamasa
internship listing page trying to be the comprehensive source (but not that
much listed). Has some good leads for good companies, but also
features programs with internships as part of their education.
- InternInAsia.com is sponsored by a Non-profit organization
called MOPRA and helps US citizens find internships in
China and Japan. You can register online for
consideration, get a newsletter, etc. See here for more
info.
- The Nambu Foundation offers a chance to apply to
internships in Japan. The program is designed for
Japanese speakers who have never been to Japan, but they
allow IUJ students to apply since campus is not quite
"Japan." Deadlines are late January each year.
The World Association of Former
United Nations Interns and Fellows has an in-depth and extensive page
of info on Internships, etc. in the UN
and related organizations.
Wetfeet.com has lists of internships by USA
state, and an option for searching for those outside the
USA. On the search screen, choose "zzInternational -
Various Locations" at the very bottom of the scroll
down list. Then either select a TYPE of internship
category and/or click the Search Internships bar to see
what is available.

Rotary Foundation offers paid internships to
those with 3 years minimum experience under their
JICA internships
for Japanese students. Info for the summer usually comes out in April
or May.

- The
Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation has regular internships throughout the
year. Internships vary according to FRAEC's current
projects, but generally include: writing for FRAEC's
monthly newsletter, assisting with events and member
services, research and report writing. Applicants should
have a working knowledge of Russian language and/or area
studies, computer and office skills, and be able to
commit a minimum of 12 hours a week for an academic
quarter or semester. Internships are unpaid.
- Hague
Peace Organization has
intern opportunities. Ask the contact person provided for
the city you are interested in.
